SHAPE: The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace, Friday 8th May 2026, 20:30

If you like a brass band, then don't miss this performance of Karl Jenkins' 'The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace' from the Namur Wallonia Brass Band and four local choirs Mezza Voce, Lyricanto, Horacantus and La Fraternite, by way of commemorating VE Day locally.

Commissioned by the Royal Armouries Museum in 1999 and dedicated to the victims of Kosovo, this is one of Jenkins' most popular works and is regularly performed by professional and amateur musicians. 

It has been performed worldwide, with the 3,000th performance held at the Royal Albert Hall on 10 March 2024.
