BRUNEI: Isolated Unit Status (ISU) Travel Arrangements

PROVISION OF SERVICES BY BFB MT DET (QOGLR)

1. The BFB MT Det (QOGLR) MT has implement several changes on service provision. Key for all users to know, understand and therefore implement in their future dealings with BF MT Det are the following changes:

a. Isolated Unit Status (IUS) Journeys for BFB Service Personnel and Immediate Families.

(1) IUS Journeys are available for BFB SP and their immediate families. These journeys are scheduled two times a week to various locations (as stated below) to cater to your transportation needs. It is important that those wishing to utilise the IUS Journeys register their details by sending an email to @bruneigar-qoglr-mailbox@mod.gov.uk in advance. Due to limited seating capacity, BFB MT Det may not be able to accommodate all passengers requesting transport on their preferred dates. In such cases, alternative dates within the same week will be allocated accordingly.

(2) The IUS Journeys run to the following locations (on Request):

(a) When: Thursday and Saturday.

(b) Time: 07:00hrs to 17:00hrs.

(c) Allocated Vehicle: 1x Minibus 1x Car (Self Drive).

(d) Locations: Pick up from Swimming Pool to Bandar Seri
Bagawan (BSB) (Shopping Centres in BSB) or Pick up from
Swimming Pool to Kuala Belait (KB) and Tutong.

(3) All passengers must be present at the designated pick-up point at least 5 minutes before the scheduled transport timing. A nominal will be recorded for future reference, and each passenger is allowed up to six IUS Journeys per year. The passengers are to take note of the IUS Journeys timings and ensure timely adherence for a smooth and efficient transportation experience.

b. Changes to Airport Transportation Schedule

(1) There will now only be three airport shuttles (inbound/outbound) per day.

(2) Passengers are required to adhere to the pick-up locations and timings as published in the booking system. Transport timings and locations will be provided by the Details NCO according to the flight itinerary and the number of passengers travelling.

(3) Passengers are to be prepared to wait at the airport for at least 2 hours before and after departure/arrival times to utilise one of three shuttles.

(4) As of this date the airport shuttle service will be the primary method of transportation for any/all SP and immediate families wishing to go to the airport. Vehicles and drivers will only be considered for provision in extremis and or on a date at which the airport shuttle is not running. No SP and or immediate family members should expect this provision as a right.

(5) Should anyone have any concerns, especially regarding the waiting time at the airport, please feel free to speak directly to the BFB MT Det OC: Safin.Magar843@mod.gov.uk and or BFB MT Det Sgt:
Vijaysingh.Gurung226@mod.gov.uk.

c. After office hours

(1) After office hours, the QOGLR Detail NCO will leave the documents and keys for the task assigned white fleet vehicle. Drivers are responsible to sign out the vehicle documentation and keys from the Battalion Guardroom prior to use, and signing them back in upon completion of the task. At the end of the duty, both the vehicle keys and documents must return to the Battalion Guardroom.
