BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service) is proud to return as the official broadcast partner for the 2026 Inter Services Rugby Championship, delivering comprehensive coverage of both the men’s and women’s competitions this spring.
Celebrating one of the most historic rivalries in military sport, the annual event brings together the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force in a series of fiercely contested fixtures showcasing elite sport, service pride, and unrivalled atmosphere. BFBS will provide exclusive livestreamed coverage of all six games, ensuring audiences around the world can follow every moment of the action.
Former Royal Marine and television presenter JJ Chalmers also returns to front BFBS’s live coverage for the Army v Navy game for a fourth consecutive year, reporting pitch side from Allianz Stadium, Twickenham: home of the famous tournament for more than a century.
JJ will lead an expert broadcast team providing analysis throughout the competition. English internationals Rocky Clark and Rachael Burford join a strong lineup of military and rugby voices including the British Army’s Charlie Maxwell and Will Reeve, the Royal Navy’s Matt Bowden and the RAF’s Justin Coleman. They are joined by Sky Sports and World Rugby commentator Simon Ward and BFBS’s Simon Hunter anchoring coverage from the commentary box.
In addition to the Forces News livestream coverage, BFBS Radio will also be on location throughout the championship to ensure listeners can tune in to matchday updates, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content. Listeners will also have the chance to win tickets to attend matches through on-air competitions.

The 2026 championship dates are:
- Royal Navy v Royal Air Force – Saturday 18 April, Cinch Stadium, Northampton
- British Army v Royal Navy – Saturday 2 May, Allianz Stadium, Twickenham
- Royal Air Force v British Army – Saturday 16 May, Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucestershire
