BRUNEI: DIO(B) - X2 Construction Works for Chlorine Dosing System

DIO(B) – X2 Construction Works for Chlorine Dosing System

We would like to inform the community in the X2 area of the upcoming works in supplying treated water to the estate. The work scope consists of digging works to lay a new water pipe from X1 Plant House to X2 New Pump House and associated electrical cables to a new pump house. Works are expected to be completed by the end of Jan 2027.

The following disruption may occur during the on-going works:
  • Road disruption. There will be road disruption as per indicated and DIO will try to minimise the issue by having the contractor to assist on site.
  • Digging works. Due to the safety concern, the contractor will undertake excavation works and patch up the soil once new waterpipes/cables are laid into the ground. Hoarding will be provided at the area to avoid the public from entering the area.
  • Noise pollution. Upon construction, the area will be affected by the noises from site. Contractors will be working from 0800 - 1700 Hrs daily, works are not planned to be undertaken during the weekends.
  • Heavy vehicles. We are expecting heavy vehicles to enter the area for the loading and unloading of materials on site.
  • Removal of trees. 2 numbers of trees next to X2/21 will be removed as it is obstructing the construction works.

Supporting service children to thrive: a new round of the Service Pupil Support Programme now open

Service life can bring unique challenges for children and young people. Frequent moves, disrupted learning and periods of separation can all add up - and they can affect how children feel, learn and achieve.

Delivered on behalf of the MOD’s Armed Forces Families Fund, the Service Pupil Support programme (SPSP) funds practical, evidence-led projects that respond to these challenges and strengthen educational outcomes for service pupils. With a new round of funding now open, the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (the Trust) are inviting schools and local authorities across the UK to apply, so more service pupils can get the right support to feel settled and succeed at school.
