Step by Step is designed to provide a challenging hiking distance across the cities of Germany. Each event is carefully planned with a circular route. Refreshments and a finishing medal are included in the registration fee.
With our marches ranging from 25 to over 100 km, we offer you the unique opportunity to discover new cities and regions while challenging yourself. Whether you're an experienced hiker or a beginner, our events are suitable for everyone. Sign up and take on the challenge.
The enjoyment we got from participating in extreme marches ourselves gave us the idea to make this experience possible for many others.
Our next "step-by-step" marches:
January 31, 2026:
Step by step - Paderborn 42 km
February 28, 2026:
Step by step - Rostock 30 km / 55 km
March 21, 2026:
Step by step - Kassel 30 km / 55 km
What can you expect from us?
Route
We plan each route individually and make it available as an overview for the respective march as quickly as possible.
Each participant will receive the exact route as a GPX file for relevant apps, such as Komoot, approximately two weeks before the march.
Dogs are very welcome.
Start & Finish
All our marches are circular routes, meaning the start and finish are in the same place.
Each participant receives a small gift at the start and a starter wristband individual to their respective march.
At the finish line, all finishers can expect a beautifully designed medal, a certificate and a delicious (non-alcoholic) finisher's beer or shandy.
All participants will receive further information approximately three weeks before the march in a separate message, such as parking options or special instructions for the march.
Refreshment points
Once the route is planned, the description of the march on this homepage will also include information on the location of the refreshment points.
At the refreshment points, we try to provide you with a varied selection of drinks and food. We always come up with something new, depending on the time of year.
We provide toilets at both the start and finish lines, as well as at the refreshment points.
