JFCBS Scottish Burns Night Supper Military Dinner Night
The UK Burns Supper Committee would like to invite all JFCBS HQ personnel (all ranks, rates and civilians) to join us for an epic night of fun, good food, malt whisky, poetry and dancing as we gather to commemorate the birth, life and poetry of Robert Burns, Scotland’s National Poet on Friday 30th January 2026 at Hotel Du Rousch.
Please confirm your attendance via the JFC Brunssum 2026 Burns Supper – Fill in form sign-up sheet and that of your guest/s. RSVP is required NLT Wednesday 14 January. The venue numbers are limited so seats will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so secure your seat now to avoid disappointment.
IMPORTANT: When filling out the form, please fill in the name and dietary requirements for you and for each of your guests (up to 3). Guests will be capped at a maximum of three per JFCBS Staff member. The anticipated ticket price will be between €65 – €80 per person for all attendees, although exact ticket costs and payment details will be communicated at a later date.
The meal, based on a traditional Scottish menu (subject to change), is:
Starter
Scotch broth / Cock-a-leekie soup (vegetable or chicken and leek soup)
Main course
Traditional Haggis, Neeps and Tatties with whisky sauce (minced lamb, turnip/swede and potatoes)
Dessert
Fruit with a Pernod sabayon and shortbread
Cheese platter
Selection of cheeses and fruit, served on platters on the tables
Scottish Malt whisky will be served for the toasts
Welcome drinks, wine, beer, water, soft drinks, tea and coffee all included
Specific dietary requirements such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten etc. will be catered in accordance with the filled in form.
Dress code:
Military Mess Dress for serving personnel. Black Tie for all other attendees. Gentleman should wear either a tuxedo or lounge suit. Ladies should wear a gown or cocktail dress that extends to or below the knee and should ensure that the shoulders are covered. The wearing of tartan is encouraged!
