Army HIVE Christmas and New Year Closures

The majority of Army HIVEs will be closed after duties on Fri 19 Dec 25 and will reopen on Mon 5 Jan 26. There may be localised variations to these dates for individual HIVEs.

Army HIVE HQ is also closed during the festive fortnight, so any enquiries submitted via the ‘If you need further information’ MS Forms function on our UK, Cyprus or Overseas blogs will be answered when we return in the New Year.

We will periodically cover private messages on our Army HIVE Facebook platform (and X/Instagram where possible) whilst we are closed. However, this will not be 24/7 and should not be relied upon for anything that requires an urgent response.

To support our customers with more immediate requirements however, the Army HIVE HQ email will provide a comprehensive out of office autoreply, detailing points of contact that are either 24/7, emergency providers, or open over the festive leave fortnight. To receive this autoreply, please email:

Individual HIVEs will also provide localised contact details for Christmas and New Year cover wherever possible in their automated replies. Therefore, if you email your closest HIVE, which you can find on HIVE’s page on the Army website, their autoreply may be of additional assistance.

NAPLES: VACANCY – BRITISH FORCES CLINIC NAPLES






RECEPTIONIST POSITION AT BRITISH FORCES CLINIC NAPLES 

This is a Dependant position, open to candidates who meet the criteria laid down in Art I(1)(b) and (c) of the NATO SOFA, i.e. civilian personnel accompanying the British Forces and who are not stateless persons, nor nationals of any State which is not a party to the North Atlantic Treaty or the NATO Partnership for Peace, nor national of, nor ordinarily resident in Italy.

This post is not open to others. Working hours will be Mon to Fri (specific working hours to be decided with Line Manger). The starting salary will be € 1,742.33 gross per month at step 0 and € 2,458.42 at step 8 (highest step). The salary is subject to UK National Insurance deductions but not UK or Host Nation Income tax. 

The BFC is under the command of Defence Primary Health Care (DPHC) Overseas, but links closely with the European Joint Support Unit (EJSU) GSO organisation. It aims to deliver a safe and effective Primary Healthcare Service in line with Secondary Care Co-ordination, Occupational and Preventative Health, Health Visitor services and medical records administration. Including, force generation support and military medical guidance to the Chain of Command, assisting in community welfare delivery and medical support to visiting Ships and Units. The successful candidate will provide an important link between the British Forces Clinic and patients of the entitled patient population residing in Naples and the Rome area.
