Brunssum: Battle of Trafalgar Night Dinner, 23rd October 2026
The British Community Mess wish to invite you to the Battle of Trafalgar Military Dinner Night 2026, hosted by the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force.
When: Friday 23rd October 2026, 1800-2359
Where: Auberge de Rousch, Heerlen
Who: All members of JFCBS - military, civilian staff, and guests
Dress: Mess dress/equivalent formal military attire, black tie/ball gowns for cilivians
Price: Mess members €60, non-mess members €75 (approximate costs)

Gibraltar: National Day Celebrations 10th September

The Self Determination for Gibraltar Group (SDGG), in conjunction with Gibraltar Cultural Services (GCS), is pleased to announce the programme of events for this year’s National Day, to be held on Thursday 10th September at Casemates Square, John Mackintosh Square and Governor’s Parade.
Celebrations will begin at 9.30am with live music at various locations throughout Main Street. The programme is as follows:
A 50-seat stand and wheelchair viewing platform will be available at Casemates Square for persons with reduced mobility. For more information and requirements, email info@culture.gi, no later than Friday 28th August.
A separate 50-seat stand for the elderly will be available on a first come, first served basis.

The following vacancies are now open for applications under the GFiE Scheme (2 vacancies in total):
GFIE-500 – Project Support Apprentice x2 – various locations across Bristol, Nottingham, Swansea or Newcastle.
GFiE roles are available specifically to people who served in the Armed Forces, or be in your resettlement period and due to leave the Armed Forces within a reasonable time frame or a Military Spouse/Partner (your current partner must still be serving or was discharged within the last 12 months).
