BRUNEI: DIO(B) - Planned renovation works at H16 Building 1, 2, 7, and 8

Planned renovation works at H16 Building 1, 2, 7, and 8

As per agreed renovation or refurbishment programme, DIO(B) contractor will start work at H16 Building 1, 2, 7, and 8 for 6 month from next week for the mobilisation works.

For safety reason, please avoid entering and parking surround the construction site at all times. During working hours, the surrounding area may experience increased noise level, loading and unloading activities, and restricted access due to safety measures. All road access to PCMS, accommodation areas, and the thrift shop will remain available. However, all road users are advised to exercise caution at all times when using these routes.

NOTICE - J16/001 PLAY EQUIPMENT OUT OF SERVICE


This play equipment at J16/01 has been barricaded due to safety concerns and is not safe for use.

Do not remove, move or tamper with the barricades. Parents and guardians are advised to ensure children do not enter the restricted area.

Management will not be responsible for any injuries for any injuries resulting from unauthorised use of the barricaded equipment.

Thank you for your cooperation and apologies for any inconvenience it may have caused.

DIO Scheduled Work for June

DIO contractors will be carrying out inspection works as shown in the table below. Utilities may be affected during the work, but DIO contractors will try to minimise disruption.

DIO(B) SCHEDULED WATER TEMPERATURE MONITORING AND CHLORINE TESTING.

1. In Order to Comply with the UK standard, DIO contractor Marsee will be carrying out the scope of works as shown below:

a. Check temperature reading of hot and cold water at the very sentinal point.

b. Check chlorine level in water using site test kit.

c. Visual check and small adjustment of water heater.

d. To record water analysis

e. Duration of work will take 10mins to 15mins.

X1 Playground Temporary Closure 

A section of X1 Playground will be closed from Tuesday 7 April 2026 to Friday 17 April 2026 to allow for equipment replacement.

Location: H16 Splash pool

Working hours: 0830hrs to 1700hrs

Working days: Monday - Saturday


X1 Works Commence Announcement

We would like to inform the community in the X1 area of the upcoming works in supplying treated water to the estate. The work scope consists of digging works to lay a new water pipe and associated electrical cables to a new plant room (indicated in Figures 1 and 2 below). Works are expected to be completed by the end of April 2026.

The following disruption may occur during the on-going works:
  • Road disruption. There will be road disruption as per indicated and DIO will try to minimise the issue by having the contractor to assist on site.
  • Digging works. Due to the safety concern, the contractor will undertake excavation works and patch up the soil once new waterpipes/cables are laid into the ground. Hoarding will be provided at the area to avoid the public from entering the area.
  • Noise pollution. Upon construction, the area will be affected by the noises from site. Contractors will be working from 0800 - 1700 Hrs daily, works are not planned to be undertaken during the weekends.
  • Heavy vehicles. We are expecting heavy vehicles to enter the area for the loading and unloading of materials on site.

DIO Helpdesk Reports

1. From Wednesday 10 September 2025, DIO Brunei will be amending the way
in which they process works request, due to the unprecedented and unsustainable
volume of works requests being received. After detailed analysis of the current issues
DIO Brunei are facing, the following changes are being enacted:

2. The DIO Helpdesk will only be accepting EMERGENCY and VERY URGENT
works request via telephone on Mil: 94193 3375 & Civ: +673 322 4130.

3. All other work requests are to be sent via email to BRUNEIGAR-DIO-HelpDesk@mod.gov.uk, and are to include the following information:

a. Location (building, room, asset).
b. Full name of customer, if not SP, SP details must be included.
c. Contact details of customer, both email and telephone.
d. Description (as clear and precise as possible).
e. When fault happened/ how long has it been a fault.
f. Photo.

4. These details are imperative to increasing the efficiency of processing works,
reducing the time taken to triage, and ultimately the issue being resolved

5. If these details are not provided the works request will not be raised. Should
anyone have issues or concerns with the above direction they are to contact the DIO
WSM via email.

BRUNEI: Nepali Passport Renewal and Consular Services - Saturday 13th June 2026, 1000 - 1600 hrs @ CCCC


NEPALI PASSPORT RENEWAL AND COUNSELLING SERVICES AT CHIT CHAT CENTRE (CCC) - SATURDAY 13 JUNE 2026

1. The Representatives from the Nepal Embassy, Kuala Lumpur (KL) will visit Brunei to provide Nepali passport renewal and counselling services on Saturday 13 June 2026 from 10:00hrs to 16:00hrs at Chit Chat Community Centre (CCCC). Nepali personnel and their family members based in BFB are entitled to renew their passports at public expense if their current passport meets either of the following criteria:

a. Less than 4 blank pages (8 sides) remaining, or

b. Expiry within 18 months.

2. Application Process: Personnel and family members requiring passport renewal are to:

a. Update their details on: 20260210-Nepalese_Passport_Stats_SPs&Families-OSP.xlsx NLT Thursday 11 June 2026.

b. Book an appointment via the Nepal Embassy KL website for Saturday 13 June 2026.

c. Complete the online application process prior to attendance.

3. Documents Required: All applicants are to bring the following to CCCC:

a. Printed online application form.

b. Photocopy (front and back) of current Nepali passport.

c. Original or clear photocopy of Nepali Citizenship Certificate.

d. Police report (if passport is lost).

4. Personnel and family members who fail to utilise this opportunity without valid service or welfare reasons will not be authorised to travel to Kuala Lumpur on public expense for passport renewal. The representatives will also be available at the Gurkha Reserve Unit (GRU) on Sunday 14 June 2026; personnel and family members who are unable to attend on Saturday may be authorised to attend on 14 June 2026 on a case‑by‑case basis.

5. Any queries regarding the application or renewal process are to be directed to their respective Coy MPA or SSS.
