Latest news from the Garrison:

  • The Garrison Gym on Normandy Barracks is scheduled to reopen on Weds 13th May. Some addition sign off is required from Techno gym before all new machines are active. 
  • ARAL Card Outage - Your card will not work on the 17th May 0600 - 1300 hrs.
  • Fathers day & Bridging day 14th - 15th Antwerp Gate will be closed on the 14th for a public holiday along with the Post Office, Brydon House and HQ NSTC(G). Many departments will be taking a Bridging day on the 15th also. 

Guide to the Weekend 

Schloss Neuhaus Bierfest 14th - 17th May at the Schloss. Enjoy over 100 different types of beer from across the world. Enjoy a massive range of street food from German classics to vegetarian & vegan options. Opening times are:
  • Thusdav 11 a.m - 5 p.m 
  • Friday 5 p.m - 11 p.m 
  • Saturday 3 p.m - 11 p.m
  • Sunday 11 a.m - 7 p.m

ANNO 1195 – Medieval Market Büren 15th - 17th May (Drivetime 30 mins)
Entry is free to the Medieval fair and market. Step back in time along the banks of the river as  Knights joust in combat demonstrations, medieval musicians, and jugglers entertain the guests .Craft folk sell historical goods, jewelry, and clothing at the market stalls. Hearty food and mead are served. There are also interactive events for children.

Opening hours: Friday 4–10 pm , Saturday 1–10 pm , Sunday 11 am–7 pm . Admission is free.

International Museum Day Sunday 17th 
Across Germany this Sunday Museums throw open their doors with free entry and a whole range of special events to enjoy. 

From large to small museums you will find activities for all the family.  At the Heinz Nixdorf in Paderborn learn all about time and kids can test their detective skills. At the main museum enjoy crafting sessions and hands on demonstations.

In Bielefeld, Detmold, Munster, Osnabruck, Dortmund, udsseldorf and Cologne Museums are all hosting events.
