We live close-ish to the largest Tulip festival in the world at Keukenhof in the Netherlands. It is an amazing sight to see all the flowers and a must do at least once in Germany.
Keukenhof is not alone though and you can find some great places to visit in Germany. Smaller yet much closer to home.

The main tulip season starts in late March and lasts until mid-May. Here are seven great spots to visit, including how long it takes to drive there from Sennelager.
Tulpenhof Francken (Grevenbroich)
This is a huge farm with 50 hectares of land. It is a must-see for any flower fan.

This farm is great for families. It has a 20,000 square meter tulip field and fun activities for kids.

Visit here starting in April. You can get a bright bouquet of tulips and even some fresh asparagus from their shop.

Degenhardt (Neuss)
This family business has grown flowers for over 100 years. You can't walk in the fields here, but you can buy beautiful pre-cut bouquets at their stand.

Gut Clarenhof (Frechen)
At this spot, you can pick your own tulips! They also sell them in pots if you want to plant them at home.
