The evening will feature the premiere of Gemstone Sinfonietta, a symphonic piece written by a young Belgian composer that tells the story of Brunssum — from its mining roots, through the vibrant decades of the 1950s and 1960s, to the arrival of NATO.
Fanfare Sint Barbara, originally formed by miners of the former Hendrik State Mine (now the site of JFC HQ Brunssum), is the first amateur ensemble ever to perform this work, following its debut by the Royal Military Police Orchestra.
All members of JFC HQ Brunssum and NATO entities are warmly invited to join this celebration of history, culture, and community.
