As part of the infrastructure preparations to support the arrival of Airbus H145 D3 helicopters, the substation at Medicina Lines requires an essential upgrade. The power supplier, Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) will need to shut down the electrical power during this upgrade process and Medicina Lines will experience an electrical power outage on Saturday, 18 October 2025, from 0830 to 2030 hrs, for a duration of 12 hours.
For BST, power will be transferred to the backup generator prior to the outage. Therefore, there will be no disruption to the servers. Please ensure sufficient fuel is available for generator refuelling.
All other departments within Medicina Lines will experience a complete power outage as the existing backup generator only supports BST and the Ops Room. All Head of Departments have been informed regarding this.
