Fruhlingsfest and Oster Fun Events

The weather seems to be picking up and there are lots of fairs and events to explore this week and through March into Easter.

27th Feb - 3rd Mar St. Petri Market in Versmold - Drive time 43 mins

Known as "Sünne Peider." This fair is one of the oldest in NRW, when winter is driven out and spring is welcomed. The fair features state-of-the-art rides, often making their debut. Saturday is the fireworks display around 9 p.m. Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

27th Feb - 2nd Mar Datteln - Drive time 1 hr 24 mins

Fireworks on Saturday night, Sunday shopping hours 1300 - 1800, family day is on Monday with cheaper ride tickets.

7th - 15th Mar Munster Send - Drive time 1hr 30 mins This event, held three times a year, is always a great experience for the whole family. The spring Send in Münster typically runs from the third Saturday after the start of Lent (Ash Wednesday) to the fourth Sunday after the start of Lent.

20th - 29th Mar - Osnabruck - Drive time 58 mins 

On Wednesday, rides and restaurants offer discounts. Thursday is "Childhood Heroes Day" from 1600 - 1800 pm with living hero figures. There are brilliant fireworks every Friday.

21st Mar - Bad Oyenhausen  Spring Market  - Drive time 48 mins

Colorful Easter decorations and all sorts of lovingly crafted  handmade items for the garden and home make the spring market in Bad Oeynhausen a popular destination for a stroll through the city center. Shops are open from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm

4th - 12th Apr - BIE HAPPY! - Bielefeld  - Drive time 34 mins. Visit the Funfair on Heeper Str with a firework show on the Friday night

5th - 6th Apr Flower and Garden Market, Gelsenkirchen - Drive time 1hr 30 mins : Stalls will be lined up, offering plants, flower bulbs, and decorations for the garden or balcony. Including exotic plants, herbs, and medicinal plants, to deciduous and fruit trees and perennials, as well as cacti, cut flowers, African plants, bonsai, and accessories.

11th - 12th Apr Menden Spring Festival with medieval market

Part of the city transforms into an impressive medieval market (11:00 – 1800 ). You'll find numerous stalls offering traditional crafts, goods, food, and drink. Music, juggling, and exciting jousting tournaments are, of course, also part of the festivities!
