IMMIGRATION RUN SCHEDULE DURING RAMADHAN PERIOD
1. With Ramadhan approaching, all BFB personnel are to familiarise themselves with the following changes to OGS endorsement and cancellation processes, and are reminded that all Bruneian Government Departments, including Immigration, will be closed at 14:00hrs on every working day throughout the month of Ramadhan. During this period, the Immigration Run for the LPPO will take place at 09:45hrs every Tuesday and Thursday, unless these days fall on a public holiday.
2. As 17 February 2026 is a public holiday (Chinese New Year), the Immigration Run for that week will take place on Monday 16 February 2026.
3. The first day of Ramadhan depends on the moon sighting on Tuesday 17 February 2026.
4. Moon Sighting Outcomes
a. If the moon is sighted on 17 February, the first day of Ramadhan will be Wednesday 18 February 2026. The Immigration Run for the LPPO will take place on Monday 16 February and Thursday 19 February 2026.
b. If the moon is not sighted on 17 February, the first day of Ramadhan will be Thursday 19 February 2026. The Immigration Run for the LPPO will take place on Monday 16 February and Wednesday 18 February 2026.
5. You are advised to submit any Special Pass or urgent OGS applications as early as possible. Urgent applications apply strictly to individuals travelling for exercises, on compassionate leave, or those being permanently posted out. Individuals outside these categories should not expect urgent processing.
6. For Normal OGS Applications or Extensions
a. Individuals are strongly advised not to book travel before their OGS endorsement has been completed and stamped in their passports.
b. Please note that the cut-off time for submitting passports to the LPPO Office is 15:00hrs on the day before the LPPO Immigration Run. Passports received after this cut-off will be processed on the next scheduled run.
(1) Example. To be included in the Tuesday run, passports must reach the LPPO by 15:00hrs on Monday. Passports received on Tuesday morning will be submitted on Thursday, and returned passports will be available the following Tuesday, provided all documentation is complete.
(2) Exception. On Monday 16 February 2026, passport submissions must reach the LPPO no later than 08:30hrs
