Brunssum: Playground Fort Willem, Maastricht

 

Looking for something fun to do with the kids for €2 per person? Fort Willem playground in Maastricht is suitable for children up to the age of 12. There are playgrounds, mini golf, a splash pool with slides, sandpits and shaded areas to sit.

Regular children's entertainment (see Facebook for updates)

Every first Wednesday of the month, from 14.00 - 15.00 read aloud in the playground, with a free book for each child.

Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 12.00 - 18.00

BELGIUM: Inspire to Lead 'Everything You Want to Know About AI', Thursday 18th June 2026, 09:00-13:00 - Virtual Session

The next session in the Inspire to Lead Calendar is 'Everything You Want to Know About A.I.'

This will be an online Teams workshop running from 9am to 1pm CEST. It is open to all members of the UK Armed Forces community.

Our subtropical experience certainly deserves a place on your activity-to-do list. Splash in one of the indoor or outdoor pools. Take your relaxing moment in a whirlpool or experience shower. Brunssum: Visit the Donkey Sanctuary L'Oasis des Ânes in Belgium - 3rd May 2026

Donkey Refuge, L'Oasis des Ânes is in Belgium, roughly a 40 minute drive from JFC Brunssum. The shelter is open on the first Sunday of the month from 2:00pm to 6:00pm

The sanctuary is open to the public and a guided tour of the refuge is organized every first Sunday of the month. This is when you can meet all the donkeys, explore the stables and pastures, and meet the volunteers. The oasis also has a small cafeteria where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a soft drink while chatting. A small shop sells all sorts of donkey-related items, such as documentation, stickers, t-shirts, keychains, and much more.
