We are keen to encourage volunteering here at school. 

Working offering your services as a parent helper is a great way to gain some insights into what actually goes on during the school day – and in some cases, could even pave the way for a school-based career. 

Volunteering in a school can take many different forms. 

BRUNEI: Garrison Thrift Shop - seeking new volunteers



BFB Garrison Thrift Shop is a volunteer run charity shop that supports the local community, helping you and helping others in need. The funds raised are regularly donated to local causes and projects.  

The Thrift Shop sells pre-loved clothing, footwear, homeware, books, toys and baby equipment and much more at affordable prices. 

Opening Hours*

Mon:    10.00-12.00 & 16.00-18.00

Weds:  10.00-12.00

Fri:       10.00-12.00

Sat:     10.00-12.00

*Subject to volunteer availability

BRUNEI: Good Conduct Certificate Process for Spouses Leaving Brunei


Before leaving Brunei, it is advisable for spouses to obtain a Brunei Police Check to obtain a ‘Good Conduct Certificate’ which some employers in the UK may request if seeking employment.

You will need:

1) Complete Police form CRF1. The CRF1 Form can be obtained from the RMP Dept, SSO Office & HIVE or by clicking HERE PLEASE NOTE THE FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN BLUE INK

2) Get a copy of your passport

3) Get a copy of your OGS stamp

4) Get a copy of Garrison ID Card

5) Cash payment of $50

BRUNEI: National Insurance Credits For Partners Of Armed Forces Personnel Overseas


What is National Insurance Credits?

If you’re not in paid employment, you might be able to qualify for National Insurance Credits. The National Insurance Credits that you receive will work to fill in the gaps in your National Insurance record and enable you to continue to receive certain benefits like Job seeker's Allowance and the State Pension.

There are two types of National Insurance Credits available: Class 1 and Class 3

BRUNEI: Application for Transfer of Residence relief (ToR1) Guidance


SPs should be aware of the application of transfer of residence relief (ToR1) when they are moving back to the UK on completion of their assignment. Individuals should get email when they apply for removal through agility.
