BELGIUM: Little Lumeçon, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June 2026

Especially for kids of a height of 1 to 1.6 metres the Little Lumeçon is on the weekend following the Doudou.

This event allows 3560 children to participate, across the different coloured zones (according to height) in the Grand Place. Safety remains the top priority throughout.

You will need to collect a free t-shirt coloured specifically to your child's height for them to be able to participate. Name tags are also distributed. If children are taking part they will need long hair tied back, no jewellery and ideally closed toe shoes for their safety.

Saturday 6 June: 
"Enthronement" of little Saint-Georges and the other characters of Petit Lumeçon
5:45 p.m.: Procession of the characters of the Petit Lumeçon - Collegiate Church of Sainte-Waudru towards the town hall
6:00 p.m.: "Enthronement" of little Saint-Georges and the other characters of the Petit Lumeçon - Cour d'honneur of the town hall

Sunday June 7:
9:00 am: Distribution of t-shirts at the Place du Parc
12:00 p.m.: Opening of the rope areas (on the Grand-Place)
12:25 p.m.: Departure of the procession of the characters of the little Lumeçon from the town hall (Jardin du Maïeur) to the Grand-Place (via the rue d'Enghien)
12:30 p.m.: Petit Lumeçon on the Grand-Place
2:00 p.m.: Processions of the reliquary and celestial attributes (spears) of Saint-Georges to the church of Sainte-Elisabeth, of the three dragons (that of the Procession, that of the Petit Lumeçon and that of the Lumeçon) in their "cave" at the collegiate church of Sainte-Waudru (ramp Sainte-Waudru) and the arms and helmet of Saint-Georges at the town hall (Doudou museum).
