To help mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day and recognise our Armed Forces, Tesco is giving all DDS cardholders, Service personnel and veterans an exclusive 10% off in-store grocery shopping.
Whether you’re celebrating with a street party, testing out a traditional wartime recipe or need to stock up on your everyday essentials, the discount with Tesco can help you save.
Did you know?
· Tesco has a long-standing connection with the Armed Forces since its founder Jack Cohen started the business back in 1919, after leaving the Royal Flying Corps at the end of the First World War.
· Tesco was the first supermarket to sign the Armed Forces Covenant in 2014 and has received recognition from Defence for its support to veterans, reservists, serving personnel and their families – with a Gold Award in the Employer Recognition Scheme. It also works with partners like Help for Heroes and the Career Transition Partnership to support veterans in their transition to civilian life.
How to claim your Tesco discount
The 10% offer with Tesco is for a limited time only, so don’t miss out. Simply show your physical or digital DDS card at the till or self-service checkout, to receive your 10% discount when shopping in-store, between 8 and 11 May. Armed Forces Personnel ID cards (MOD90), and Veterans’ cards are also accepted forms of proof of discount.

Eligibility
DDS membership is available to serving Armed Forces personnel, Reserve Forces, veterans, MOD Civil Servants, bereaved family members, war/service widows and widowers, Cadet Forces (over 16), NATO personnel based in the UK, and spouses/partners of serving members.
Supporting the Defence community
DDS aims to support the continuous wellbeing of our Armed Forces and Defence people. That’s why 15% of all revenue made by DDS is given back to the Ministry of Defence, to be distributed to a variety of charitable causes that serve to help the Armed Forces community.
Be cyber safe and alert to scams
When signing up to DDS, follow instructions to verify your work status and once registered always use your personal email account – for transactions, correspondence and push notifications. This ensures compliance with JSP 740 and helps reduce opportunity for MOD email addresses to be involved in third party data breaches. Remember, the frontline is you.
